Devoted to the characterization of complete chromosome sequences by standardized genometric methods, the Comparative Genometrics website displays for sequenced genomes, two different genometric analyses: the DNA walk and two complementary representations during the initial phase. Although primarly focused on prokaryotic chromosomes, the CG website posts genometric information on paradigm plasmids, phages, viruses, and organelles.

This site opens on the 27^th of August 2001 and is an improvment
of a previous one that was available from the beginning of March 2001.
