DARIS a mené une enquête auprès des chercheurs qui travaillent avec des données qualitatives en Suisse. Le but était de mieux connaître les pratiques de recherche qualitative et les opinions des chercheurs concernant le partage et la réutilisation de données qualitatives. Les données 2011 de l’enquête Sécurité, consacrée à l’évolution des opinions en matière de politique extérieure, de politique de sécurité et de politique de défense sont désormais accessibles en ligne, sur notre serveur NESSTAR.

En plus de l’enquête post-électorale et pour la première fois, une enquête Rolling Cross-Section (RCS) a été menée dans le cadre de Selects en Suisse alémanique et en Suisse romande. Les données sont également accessibles en ligne, sur notre serveur NESSTAR.

Les données Selects 2011, enquête post-électorale téléphonique et papier/online, sont désormais accessibles en ligne, sur notre serveur NESSTAR.

L’ensemble des données suisses PISA sont désormais mises à disposition des chercheurs par DARIS. L’enquête internationale, qui évalue l’acquisition de savoirs et savoir-faire essentiels à la vie quotidienne au terme de la scolarité obligatoire, est menée tous les trois ans depuis 2000 dans les pays membres de l’OCDE et dans de nombreux pays partenaires. DARIS est membre du consortium SERSCIDA, un projet FP7 visant à établir des archives de données en sciences sociales dans les Balkans occidentaux. Dans le cadre de ce projet, les chercheurs sont actuellement invités à remplir un questionnaire en ligne sur leurs pratiques de recherche, leurs besoins et leurs opinions concernant le partage de données. Les données MOSAiCH 2011 sont désormais accessibles en ligne, sur notre serveur NESSTAR. L’enquête inclut notamment les modules ISSP 2010 (Environnement III) et ISSP 2011 (Santé I).

Afin de continuer à fournir des ressources adaptées aux besoins de la communauté de recherche en Suisse, nous avons mené en 2011 une enquête nationale en ligne sur les pratiques de recherche, les opinions concernant le partage de données et les outils utiles à la recherche. Le volet suisse de l’enquête World Values Survey, qui s’est tenue dans plus de 50 pays, a été mené, après 1989 et 1996, pour la troisième fois en 2007. Dans cette enquête représentative, les valeurs sociales, économiques et politiques de la population adulte ont été examinées par le biais d’entretiens individuels. Le projet était centré sur les tendances de l’évolution des valeurs en Suisse, la spécificité de ce changement par rapport à d’autres pays et les conséquences politiques.

Deux enquêtes écrites, menées par l’EPFZ, se sont intéressées au bénévolat, en prenant l’exemple des écoles et des églises. L’objectif était d’une part d’en apprendre davantage sur les motivations, les attitudes et les évaluations de l’activité bénévole, d’autre part de mieux comprendre les possibilités et les conditions du travail bénévole dans le système suisse.

La série "Sécurité" décrit les courants et tendances de l’opinion de la population suisse en matière de politique extérieure, de politique de sécurité et de politique de défense, au moyen d’une enquête représentative. Outre les questions posées chaque année, les thèmes suivants ont été abordés en 2010 : l’acceptation des objectifs en matière de politique de sécurité et de politique de défense, l’attitude envers les engagements à l’étranger et leur importance, la promotion de la paix par l’armée et le service civil. Le prestige et la perception de la formation militaire des cadres ainsi que l’acceptation des traditions militaires sont d’autres thèmes d’intérêt.

Le projet de Wolf Linder et al. de l’Université de Berne examine l’activité législative sous forme d’un inventaire des actes normatifs du droit national et international en vigueur entre 1983 et 2007 et s’inspire méthodologiquement d’un projet antérieur de Linder sur le développement des lois suisses de 1947 à 1982. Les données documentent un laps de temps de 25 ans et offrent une solide base pour répondre aux questions analytiques actuelles, à l’aide des données statistiques de la recherche politique suisse et du Parlement disponibles aujourd’hui.

Ce projet mené par la Haute école de travail social et de la santé Vaud (EESP) vise à mieux connaître les situations familiales des usagers des crèches-garderies et à répertorier les demandes parentales, y compris implicites, adressées aux éducatrices et éducateurs de la petite enfance. La perception de ces situations par le personnel éducatif et la manière dont il y fait face sont également examinées.

L’observatoire du bénévolat en Suisse a été réalisé pour la seconde fois en 2010, sous la conduite de Markus Freitag. Il fait suite à une première étude menée en 2006 et fournit des données actuelles sur la diversité des formes d’engagement bénévole en Suisse. Outre la réplication et le développement des principaux indicateurs de la première vague, la dernière édition contient des informations sur les motifs et le potentiel de mobilisation en matière d’activité bénévole.

Pour marquer le 30e anniversaire des Protocoles Additionnels aux Conventions de Genève, le Comité international de la Croix-Rouge a voulu reproduire au Royaume-Uni l’enquête People on War conduite en 1999 dans 17 pays. Les questions-clés de l’enquête de 1999 ont été posées à un échantillon représentatif de 1000 personnes, en vue d’observer les changements dans l’opinion publique britannique. Ce projet de recherche mené à l’Université de Zürich sous la conduite de Stefanie Bailer et Simon Hug examine le comportement de vote des parlementaires suisses. L’enquête s’intéresse principalement à l’influence des préférences politiques personnelles, de la pression du parti et des préférences des électeurs sur les décisions de vote des membres du parlement. Sont également examinés les comportements de vote stratégiques en cas de votation complexe avec plusieurs variantes.

Les données suisses de l’enquête "Health Behaviour in School-aged Children" (HBSC) 2006 sont désormais disponibles. Cette étude internationale et quadriennale, placée sous l’égide de l’OMS, est conduite en Suisse depuis 1986 par Addiction Info Suisse (anciennement ISPA). Les données des cinq précédentes enquêtes sont également disponibles dans notre catalogue, l’ensemble constituant une précieuse source d’information sur l’évolution des comportements de santé des élèves en Suisse et permettant des comparaisons avec les différents pays participants.

Ce projet de recherche des Universités de Zürich, Constance et Potsdam s’est intéressé, dans le prolongement de l’étude longitudinale "Entwicklung im Jugendalter" (1979 à 1983), aux parcours de vie et au développement psychosocial de 1500 individus de leur 12e à leur 35e année, dans la ville et la région de Francfort. Les données constituent une base riche pour l’étude de problématiques relevant de la pédagogie, de la sociologie de la famille et de l’éducation, ou encore de la psychologie du développement. Elles permettent une analyse thématique et interdisciplinaire des processus de développement en jeu lors du passage à l’âge adulte d’une étendue nouvelle.

DARIS hat eine Befragung unter Forschenden, die mit qualitativen Daten arbeiten, durchgeführt. Der Zweck des Surveys bestand darin, die Praxis und Einstellungen der Forschenden, die für den Austausch und die Wiederverwendung von Daten relevant sind, einzuschätzen. Die Resultate der Befragung finden Sie hier.

Die Daten 2011 der Studie « Sicherheit », die Tendenzen und längerfristige Trends in der aussen-, sicherheits- und verteidigungspolitischen Meinungsbildung der Schweizer Bevölkerung beschreibt, sind nun auf unserem Nesstar Server online zugänglich.

Neben der Nachwahlbefragung wurde im Rahmen von Selects zum ersten Mal in der Deutschschweiz und der Romandie eine sogenannte Rolling Cross-Section Befragung (RCS) durchgeführt. Diese Daten sind auch online, auf unserem Nesstar Server, zugänglich.

Ab sofort sind die Selects-Daten 2011 der Wahlnachbefragung (telefonisch und schriftlich/online) auf unserem Nesstar Server zugänglich.

Sämtliche bisherigen und künftigen PISA-Datensätze sind nun via DARIS verfügbar. PISA ist eine internationale Erhebung, die das für den Alltag notwendige Wissen und Können am Ende der obligatorischen Schulzeit erhebt. Sie wird seit dem Jahr 2000 alle drei Jahre in den meisten Mitgliedstaaten der OECD und in weiteren Partnerländern durchgeführt. DARIS ist Mitglied des SERSCIDA-Konsortiums, ein FP7-Projekt mit dem Ziel, ein sozialwissenschaftliches Datenarchiv im Westbalkan aufzubauen. Im Rahmen dieses Projekts werden Forschende gebeten, einen Online-Fragebogen über ihre Forschungsgewohnheiten, ihre Bedürfnisse und ihre Haltung gegenüber Datensharing zu beantworten. Die Schweizer Daten des ESS (European Social Survey) 2010 sind ab sofort online über unseren NESSTAR Server erhältlich. Neben einem Kern von Fragen, die in jeder Ausgabe vorhanden sind, war bei der 2010-er Befragung das Image von Polizei und Justiz sowie das Thema Arbeit und Familie von speziellem Interesse.

Die Daten von MOSAiCH 2011 stehen ab sofort auf unserem NESSTAR Server online zur Verfügung. Die Befragung beinhaltet unter anderem die Module von ISSP 2010 (Umwelt III) und ISSP 2011 (Gesundheit I).

Um der Forschungsgemeinschaft in der Schweiz weiterhin passende Forschungs- und Datenressourcen zur Verfügung stellen zu können, haben wir 2011 eine nationale Online - Befragung zu der Forschungspraxis, den Haltungen gegenüber Datensharing und nützlichen Forschungstools durchgeführt. Die Schweizer Teilstudie des World Values Surveys, der insgesamt in mehr als 50 Ländern stattfand, wurde nach 1989 und 1996 2007 das dritte Mal durchgeführt. In dieser repräsentativen Befragung wurden soziale, ökonomische und politische Wertorientierungen der erwachsenen Wohnbevölkerung in persönlichen Interviews erhoben. Im Fokus des Projektes standen die Trends des Wertewandels in der Schweiz, die Spezifizität dieses Wandels verglichen mit anderen Ländern und die politischen Konsequenzen.

In zwei schriftlichen Befragungen, durchgeführt von der ETH Zürich, ging es darum, Freiwilligenarbeit am Beispiel des Schul- und Kirchenwesens zu untersuchen. Ziel war es, einerseits mehr über Motive, Einstellungen und Bewertungen der Freiwilligentätigkeit zu erfahren, andererseits auch Erkenntnisse über Chancen und Bedingungen gemeinnütziger Arbeit im schweizerischen System zu gewinnen.

Die Serie "Sicherheit" beschreibt Tendenzen und längerfristige Trends in der aussen-, sicherheits- und verteidigungspolitischen Meinungsbildung der Schweizer Bevölkerung mittels Repräsentativerhebungen. Neben jährlich erhobenen Standardfragen zum persönlichen Sicherheits- und Bedrohungsempfinden, der Zukunftseinschätzung für die Schweiz und der politischen Weltlage, zu Öffnung versus Autonomie, Neutralität, internationaler Kooperation, Wehrstruktur und Armee wurden 2010 folgende Themen aufgegriffen: Zustimmung zu sicherheits- und verteidigungspolitischen Zielen, Einstellung zu Auslandeinsätzen und zu deren Umfang, zur Friedensförderung durch die Armee und zum Zivildienst. Weiter interessierte das Prestige und die Wahrnehmung der militärischen Kaderausbildung sowie die Akzeptanz militärischer Traditionen.

Das Projekt von Wolf Linder et al. an der Universität Bern untersucht die Gesetzgebungstätigkeit in Form einer Bestandesaufnahme der normativen Erlasse des Landesrechts und des internationalen Rechts, die im Zeitraum zwischen 1983 und 2007 in Kraft waren und inspiriert sich dabei methodisch an einem früheren Projekt zum Bestand und der Entwicklung der schweizerischen Gesetze von 1947 bis 1982 von Linder. Die Daten dokumentieren eine Zeitspanne von 25 Jahren und bieten damit eine solide Basis, um dank den heute verfügbaren statistischen Daten zur Parlaments- und zur allgemeinen schweizerischen Politikforschung Antworten auf aktuelle analytische Fragestellungen beantworten zu können.

Dieses von der Hochschule für Soziale Arbeit und Gesundheit des Kantons Waadt (EESP) durchgeführte Projekt hatte sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die familiären Situationen der Benutzerinnen und Benutzer von Krippen zu untersuchen und die elterlichen Anfragen zu erfassen, einschliesslich implizite Anfragen an die Kleinkinderzieherinnen und -erzieher. Die Wahrnehmung dieser Situationen durch die Betreuungspersonen und ihr Umgang damit werden ebenfalls untersucht.

Der Schweizer Freiwilligen-Monitor unter der Leitung von Markus Freitag wurde 2010 bereits zum zweiten Mal durchgeführt. Er schliesst an die erste Erhebung aus dem Jahr 2006 mit aktuellen Daten zur Vielfalt von freiwilligen Engagements in der Schweiz an. Neben der Fortführung und Replikation wichtiger Indikatoren der ersten Welle beinhaltet die neue Ausgabe neu auch Informationen über Motive und Mobilisierungspotentiale in Bezug auf freiwillige Tätigkeit.

Jahrestag der Zusatzprotokolle der Genfer Konventionen zu prägen, hat das Internationale Komitee des Roten Kreuzes die Befragung People on War, welche 1999 in 17 Ländern durchgeführt wurde, wiederholt. Einer repräsentativen Stichprobe von 1000 Personen wurden die Schlüsselfragen der Befragung von 1999 gestellt, um die Veränderung der britischen öffentlichen Meinung zu beobachten.

Das an der Universität Zürich unter der Leitung von Stefanie Bailer und Simon Hug durchgeführte Forschungsprojekt hat das Abstimmungsverhalten der Schweizer Parlamentarierinnen und Parlamentarier in einer Befragung untersucht. Hauptfragestellungen waren einerseits der Einfluss von persönlichen politischen Präferenzen, Parteidruck und Wählerschaftspräferenzen bei der Erklärung von Wahlentscheidungen von Parlamentarierinnen und -parlamentarier. Daneben wurde auch das strategische Wahlverhalten bei komplexen Abstimmungsanlagen mit mehreren Optionen untersucht.

Die Schweizer Daten der Befragung "Health Behaviour in School-aged Children" (HBSC) 2006 sind nun erhältlich. Diese internationale Studie wird seit 1986 alle vier Jahre unter der Schirmherrschaft der Weltgesundheitsorganisation von Sucht Info Schweiz (eh. Schweizerische Fachstelle für Alkohol- und andere Drogenprobleme (SFA)) durchgeführt. Die Daten der fünf bisherigen Befragungen sind ebenfalls über unseren Katalog erhältlich. Sie stellen eine wertvolle Informationsquelle über die Entwicklung des Gesundheitsverhaltens von Schweizer Schülerinnen und Schüler dar und ermöglichen Vergleiche mit den anderen Teilnehmer-Ländern.

Die Serie "Sicherheit" beschreibt Tendenzen und längerfristige Trends in der aussen-, sicherheits- und verteidigungspolitischen Meinungsbildung der Schweizer Bevölkerung mittels Repräsentativerhebungen. Neben jährlich erhobenen Standardfragen zum persönlichen Sicherheits- und Bedrohungsempfinden, der Zukunftseinschätzung für die Schweiz und der politischen Weltlage, zu Öffnung versus Autonomie, Neutralität, internationaler Kooperation, Wehrstruktur und Armee wurden 2009 folgende ergänzende Themen aufgegriffen: Die Wahrnehmung der Bedrohung durch unterschiedliche Ereignisse, die Zusammenarbeit mit Armeen anderer europäischer Staaten, die Wehrstruktur und die Begründungen zur Notwendigkeit der Armee.

Dieses Forschungsprojekt der Universitäten Zürich, Konstanz und Potsdam, hat in Fortführung der Längsschnittstudie "Entwicklung im Jugendalter" (1979 bis 1983) die Lebensverläufe und psychosoziale Entwicklung von 1500 Personen vom 12. bis zum 35. Lebensjahr in Stadt und Region Frankfurt untersucht. Die Daten bilden eine reichhaltige Basis, um Fragestellungen zu pädagogischen, bildungs- und familiensoziologischen sowie entwicklungspsychologischen Themen nachzugehen. Damit ermöglichen sie eine themen- und disziplinübergreifende Analyse der Entwicklungsprozesse im Übergang ins Erwachsenenalter, wie sie in vergleichbarer Breite bisher nicht möglich war.

FORS is offering three scholarships for young researchers to attend the LIS Introductory Summer Workshop in Luxembourg, June 30 - July 7, 2013. DARIS conducted a survey of researchers who work with qualitative data in Switzerland. The purpose was to assess the qualitative research practices and views of researchers that are relevant to the sharing and re-use of qualitative data. Our brief report on the results can be found here.

The 2011 data for the survey Security, dedicated to the evolution of opinions regarding security, foreign, and defense policy, are now available online on our NESSTAR server.

In addition to the post-electoral survey, and for the first time, a Rolling Cross-Section (RCS) survey was carried out within the framework of Selects in German- and French-speaking Switzerland. The data are now available online on our Nesstar Server.

Data from Selects 2011, a telephone and paper/online post-electoral survey, are now accessible online on our NESSTAR server.

All Swiss data from PISA are now available at DARIS for use by researchers. This international survey, which evaluates the acquistion of knowledge and know-how essential for daily life at the end of obligatory education, is carried out every three years since 2000 in OECD member countries and in numerous partner countries. The Swiss part of the World Values Survey, which takes place in more than 50 countries, was conducted, following the 1989 and 1996 editions, for the third time in 2007. In this representative survey, the social, economic, and political values of the adult population were examined in individual interviews. The project focused on the evolution of values in Switzerland, the specificities of change in relation to other countries, and the political consequences.

Two written surveys, conducted by the ETH Zurich, addressed volunteer work, with focus on schools and churches. The purpose was on the one hand to learn more about the motivations, attitudes, and assessments of volunteer activities, and on the other hand to better understand the possibilities and conditions of volunteer work within the Swiss system.

The "Security" series describes the trends and tendancies of opinion among the Swiss population regarding security, defense, and foreign policy, based on a representative survey. Besides the questions asked each year, the following topics were addressed in 2010: approval of objectives with respect to security and defense policy, attitudes toward foreign engagements and their importance, promotion of peace by the army and civil service. Other themes of interest include the prestige and perception of the military training of officers, as well as approval of military traditions.

The project of Wolf Linder et al. of the University of Bern examines legislative activity in the form of an inventory of national and international legal acts in place between 1983 and 2007, methodologically inspired from a former project by Linder on the development of Swiss laws from 1947 to 1982. The data document a period of 25 years and offer a solid basis for answering current analytical questions with the help of statistical research data on Swiss politics and Parliament that is available today.

A national study of Swiss volunteer work was carried out for the second time in 2010, under the direction of Markus Freitag. It follows a first study done in 2006 and provides current data on the diversity of forms of volunteer work in Switzerland. To mark the 30th anniversary of the Additional Protocols to the Geneva Conventions, the International Committee of the Red Cross repeated in the United Kingdom the 1999 People on War survey conducted in 17 countries. Key questions from the 1999 survey were asked to a representative sample of 1,000 people, to observe changes in British public opinion.

The survey addresses principally the influence of personal political preferences, party pressure, and the preferences of constituents on the voting decisions of parliament members in the Swiss Lower House.
