Call for papers

Guidelines for preparing and presenting papers

Abstracts not already allocated to an organised session will be assigned to a thread and a timeslot by the Programme Committee. These assigned sessions will be organised to bring together as far as possible presentations sharing a common perspective or topic, based on abstracts and key words. Preferences expressed by authors will be taken into account.

Each session contains usually four papers. Authors will have 20 minutes to present their papers. There will be at least 10 minutes left per session for general discussion. It is up to session chairs and paper presenters to agree together how to arrange the discussion time.

When preparing your presentation, please ensure that you are able to present the paper within 20 minutes - the conference schedule cannot accommodate overrunning sessions, and it is unfair to other participants if you take up the time allotted to them.

A beamer and an overhead projector will be available in all rooms. If you require additional equipment, you must request it before 31st May, 2006 by email to easst2006@unil.ch. We will let you know whether it is possible to provide it. If you intend to use the beamer for your presentation, you will be asked to provide the file beforehand.

Abstracts and sessions will be included in the Conference programme.

Authors of written papers are asked to send their text (word rtf) no later than 15th July, 2006. They will be made available for the time of the Conference. Note that it will not count as a publication, nor as official conference proceedings. The conference organisers will not edit files in any way, copyright will remain with the author, and the conference organisers can take no responsibility for subsequent use made of papers.

To facilitate the organisation of the Conference, we ask participants who make presentation to register before the 10th April.

The organisers are looking forward to see you in Lausanne . We wish you a stimulating Conference, full of contacts and scientific exchange.
