EUBOIISCHE LIGA

No.: 42
d=10 mm

BMC - . SNG Cop. - . 1,28 g. St.11.
Äußerst selten, wohl Unikum.

This very coin is illustrated on Wallace's plate XII, 2 as silver. Obviously the cast of Imhoof-Blumer did not specify metal so Wallace thought it was silver. See Wallace, pp. 111-112 where he states that "no other coin like it is known". The absence of ethnic on the reverse and the appearance of a T where the B of EYB would normally be, may indicate a mark of value. An extremely interesting and puzzling little gem of a coin, possibly unique.
