Bronze, ca. 245-196 v.Chr.
Büste der Hera mit scheibenverziertem Diadem, herabhängenden Bändern und Halskette en face.
Rs: XAL (im Feld oben). Adler mit ausgebreiteten Schwingen rechts, im Schnabel und mit beiden Fängen eine Schlange haltend, die sich um den Körper des Raubvogels windet; im Feld rechts Kieferknochen eines Ebers. Picard - . 1,04 g. St. 9.
Äußerst selten, wohl unpubliziertes Unikum.

Perhaps the symbol alludes to the Aetolian victories against the Gauls. See BMC (Central Greece), p. 139, 69 for the same symbol on a third century tetrobol of Histiaia.
