BMC - . SNG Cop. - . Wallace - . Vgl. D.M. Robinson, Excavations at Olynthus XIV (1952), S. 424, 1 und Taf. 173, 6. 1,84 g. St. 7.
Äußerst selten.

If this coin was indeed struck before the destruction of Olynthos and the first League issues were minted around 375, we might have here a bronze struck just before that date by a still independent Eretria. The non-adjusted dies also speak in favour of an early, unregulated issue. An important coin that would upset the traditional views about Eretrian bronzes, if its style and flan could be proved compatible with early 4th century B.C. issues.
