June 29 - July 5 Luxembourg / 3 scholarships available
FORS is offering three scholarships for young researchers to attend the LIS Introductory Summer Workshop in Luxembourg, 29 June - 5 July, 2014. LIS, formerly known as The Luxembourg Income Study, is a data archive and research center dedicated to cross-national analysis of income and wealth statistics. Click here for more details. Insight into the first results of wave 4
The new SHARE book “Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations in Europe – First Results from SHARE after the Economic Crisis” is now available online for free and in hard copy format. This multidisciplinary book gathers thirty scientific articles whose analyses are based on the very last SHARE wave, which was conducted in 2010-2011 in 16 European countries. The authors examine, among other things, the impact of the economic crisis on income, wealth and consumption; the challenges related to active ageing; and the evolution of social networks and intergenerational solidarity.

Exploring public attitudes, informing public policy: Selected findings from the first five rounds
Scholars are invited to propose questions for the paper questionnaire administered after the main MOSAiCH 2015, a social survey conducted in Switzerland and mainly centered on the ISSP topics of ‘Citizenship’ and ‘Work Orientation’. Proposals will be selected according to their thematic relevance and their survey applicability. Successful proposals will be fielded free of charge in spring 2015. The timeline for submissions is May 5th 2014.
