New editorial board members
Barbara Reeves-Ellington and Connie Shemo joined the SSM team in November. They are specialist, respectively, of the Middle Eastern and Chinese history. They are both co-authors of the new book Competing Kingdoms: Women, Mission, Nation, and the American Protestant Empire, 1812-1960 (Duke University Press, 2010)

New editorial board member
Kathleen Lodwick joined the SSM team in September. She is a specialist of Chinese history and has written extensively on missions there.

Co-editor withdraws
Didier Peclard leaves his position as co-editor of the journal - he remains in the editorial board

Matt Samson (Davidson College, USA) becomes the journal's first Bookreview editor

SSM launch

LFM becomes SSM
June: LFM signs a contract with Brill (Leiden). Brill will publish the journal as of the second-half of 2007. The journal will slighltly change its name in the process.
