Sacha is working on a joint project with Marc Robinson-Réchavi, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, that looks at the effect of genome duplication and polyploidisation on rates of species diversification. We will focus primarily on plants and will develop novel approaches to test rates of speciation and extinction from phylogenetic trees.
