Bronze, ca. 290-273/271 v.Chr.
Büste der Hera mit scheibenverziertem Diadem, herabhängenden Bändern und Halskette en face, leicht nach rechts gewandt.
Rs: XAΛ (im Feld links). Adler mit ausgebreiteten Schwingen rechts, im Schnabel und mit beiden Fängen eine Schlange haltend, die sich um den Körper des Raubvogels windet; im Feld rechts Lotusblüte.
Picard Emission 36 var. (vgl. Emission 35 b, 1 und Taf. XVI, 35b,1: dieses Exemplar). 1,90 g. St.12.

This variety of "letters ΧΑΛ to l. upwards" and "lotus flower on the r." was mistaken by Picard as his variety (b) of the rose symbol (émission 35).
