Bronze, 4./3. Jhdt.v.Chr.
Kopf der Nymphe Histiaia mit eingerolltem Haar, einem Kranz aus Weinlaub und Trauben, einteiligem Ohranhänger und Halskette rechts.
Rs: IΣ - TI. Vorderteil eines nach rechts stehenden Rindes; im Feld darüber Ast eines Weinstockes mit zwei kleinen Trauben.

Ex Spink's 46 (9 October 1985), 78. This and the following three coins are essentially the same type in order of decreasing fineness of style. The obverses of nos. 495 and 496 approach the style of the early tetrobols which in turn are close to the latest drachms (see nos. 373 to 377 of this catalogue). The reverses of nos. 497 and 498 borrow elements from the large denomination cows (see nos. 442 and 443 of this catalogue).
