Carte de la région d'Unterwald, ancien canton historique qui regroupe actuellement les demi cantons d'Obwald et Nidwald. Sur la gauche en haut de la carte, une cartouche mettant en scène l’un des mythes fondateurs de la Suisse : Arnold de Melchtal, Walter Fürst et Werner Stauffacher prêtant serment sur la prairie du Grütli. Au centre, homme combattant un dragon.
