Legend
The hill and forest of Labatie are represented on the right. At the basis of this hill runs the polluted Arve, a river that mingles its muddy waters with the Rhône at the foot of St. Jean, another mountain on the left, as described in the article of Geneva. The lake is distinguishable near the back of the city. The Voirons from the back-ground; and the two Saleves, whose feet are literally hid by the hills of Cologny, are the most conspicuous.
