Legend
This view was taken north-west of the city, at some little distance from the high road to Berne. The Château, conspicuous on the hill which commands the town, in the bailliff’s residence : the cathedral stands near banks of the lake, are the pleasant villages of Evian, Ripaille, and Thonon.
