Researchers and experts on the history of globes

Without the enlightening works of experts on the history of globes, we would not have been able to discuss UNIL’s copies, particularly in the Globes section.

These authors are listed in the Selected bibliography but we wish to pay special tribute to the contribution of scientific works like those of Elly Dekker, Thomas Horst, Peter van der Krogt and Sylvia Sumira, together with the authors of the collective work edited by Marcel Watelet and those of the compendium The History of Cartography Vol. 3 on European cartography in the Renaissance era.
