Introduction

In the humain vision, but also in all the vertebrate, there is a blind spot that is fortunately filled by the brain so that we are not aware of it. This area, that has no light-sensitive cells, is called the optic disc and it is where all the signal-carrying nerve fibers are joined to become the optic nerve. The visual informations travel throught the brain and reach the visual cortex where it will be processed and re-transmitted in the pariettal cortex,temporal lobe and frontal lobe.
