Final report meeting 2019
On Friday, 24 May 2019, between 9 and 12, we will have our “Final report meeting" in the Lipari room (Bugnon 27). The goals of this meeting are:
- to present your project in front of an audience
- to show us the progress you made in your analysis
- to provide feedback on the course
Each team should make a presentation of no more than 25 minutes with (at least) the following slides:
- Title of your project, your names, the name(s) of your supervisor(s) and (optionally) one image that characterizes your project
- Goal(s) of your project: No more than 3 items!
- Background: Why is this project relevant/interesting?
- Methodology: At least one slide on algorithms, equations, etc. that you are using
- Results of your project.
- Challenges: What would you do next if you had more time?
- Feedback: Any suggestion to improve our course in general?
Divide the slides among the study group member equally such that everybody will have the opportunity to present. You may want to have a look at my personal advise on giving good presentations
You are encouraged to discuss the presentation with your project supervisor. You can do the presentation in French or English.
Please send your presentation by e-mail to me before May 24 and also bring it a USB stick, or your laptop.
The evaluation of your final presentation by the tutors and myself is the main contributor to your final grade. Outstanding presentations will give you up to 5 points. To get the highest possible mark of 6 we require that you also describe your project on our wiki, and that your tutor was happy with your performance throughout the course. For the wiki you can recycle your presentation transforming it into a webpage. You can do this until May 30 (contact Micha, cc, in case you don’t have access yet).
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask your assistant.
