On 29/30 March we present the core material of this module. We will distribute simple exercises based on the tutorials before the Easter break. Groups of 3 students have to send us their answers before noon on April 12, and discuss them with the tutors in 15' slots running from 14:00 to 18:00 on that day. Additional feedback on these exercises will be given in the Final Session on April 14 starting at 11:00.

  • Course aims:
    • Get to know some of the the bioinformatics methods necessary for genomic analysis
    • Use these methods on simple real cases
    • Develop an understanding of potential pitfalls and the impact of bioinformatics choices in genomic results
  • Prerequisites:
    • Notions of genomics (gene, genome, transcriptome)
    • Basic statistics (what is a test, a p-value)
    • Basic literacy in R and/or Python.
