- Course aims:
- Get to know some of the the bioinformatics methods necessary for genomic analysis
- Use these methods on simple real cases
- Develop an understanding of potential pitfalls and the impact of bioinformatics choices in genomic results
- Prerequisites:
- Notions of genomics (gene, genome, transcriptome)
- Basic statistics (what is a test, a p-value)
- Basic literacy in R and/or Python.
- Teacher: Sven Bergmann
- Schedule

On 29/30 March we present the core material of this module. We will distribute simple exercises based on the tutorials before the Easter break. Groups of 3 students have to send us their answers before noon on April 12, and discuss them with the tutors in 15' slots running from 14:00 to 18:00 on that day. Additional feedback on these exercises will be given in the Final Session on April 14 starting at 11:00.
This semester all lectures and tutorial will be given online. If the situation allows the individual sessions on April 12 may be on site.
