Stress management in Yeast

Background: The stress response is a very important function in yeast that plays a major role in its survival. It is however unclear to what extent this response is stereotypical or variable and whether it can be graded.

Goal: The goal of this project to analyze single-cell transcriptomics data of yeast in stress and unstress conditions and define and characterize a stress measure from that data

Computational Tools: Programming will be done in Python and/or R

Mathematical tools: Statistics and dimensionality reduction methods will be used

Biological or Medical aspects: Transcriptional response to stress in yeast

Supervisor: Micha

Results: See presentaion here.
