Les universités de Lausanne, du Luxembourg et de la Suisse italienne co-organisent le séminaire d’été « Media history from the margins » qui se déroulera du 19 au 24 août 2018 au centre de conférences Stefano Franscini au Monte Verità dans le Tessin. Il se divisera en trois parties « Marginal Spaces », « Marginal Times » and « Marginal Objects » et accueillera lors de sa première journée les communications de doctorants.

« The summer seminar aims to rethink media history from the margins and to place at the center of our attention neglected, alternative, or censured media texts, uses, and technologies. By shifting the discussion from hegemonic actors, dominant institutions, and successful mass media to the fringes of media history, it pursues the double objective of rewriting media history into media histories, and of opening a space to rethink historiographical practices and methods. »
